This was my first visit to the Florida Keys & diving with Dual Porpoise. I can sum the trip in 1 word, Outstanding!

Scott did a first rate job in all details. Loading up our gear, getting us to the dive sites, and giving perfect details info on the dives sites, changing out our tanks before our feet hit the deck of the boat. Anyone who wants a first rate Dive Charter in Key Largo, look nowhere else.

Many thanks Scott for a thoroughly enjoyable morning snorkelling in December in Key Largo. Kevin was the bravest of us all (I think he must have been a fish in a previous life) we were all of varying levels and were all well catered for.

The places we were taken to had the most wonderful array of fish most of which were all new to us. Although it was a bit choppy on the way out that morning, we still got to snorkel with ease at a few different sites.

I am sure there are a number of excellent dive operators in the Key Largo area, but Dual Porpoise was the perfect fit for my wife and I. Rather than the big boats with the "herds of divers" of all experience levels, Dual Porpoise provides a much more personal experience, tailored to the divers and their interests.

My wife and I were able to "sneak away for a few days" and enjoy a mini-vacation together. Steve and Gabriele took excellent care of us, from the first email to the last goodbye [for this trip!]. It was a pleasure to dive with them. The diving in Key Largo is terrific; diving with Dual Porpoise makes it even better. I know who we'll call when we come back.

Just returned home to Cocoa Beach from Key Largo today and can't stop thinking of our great twilight and night dives with the Dynamic Dual Porpoise folks.

We are thankful Otto recommended and we chartered with ya'll. The film is in the shop (Nikonos III rules) and as soon as I get Joe's shots back of me Eskimo kissing the fat Jewfish, I'll email ya'll one.

The Aquarius at twilight was thrilling. Moreover, we are honored you shared with us the comparitively pristine and nocturnally active Snapper Ledges.

In addition to superior customer service, you trusted us when we told you our 11 year old mermaid/diver is capable of night diving -- her first nocturnal plunge. She had a blast.

Thank God we have photos of her so her classmates and teachers know it is for real. Her Mother still is grinning ear to ear as well (Mean Kitty I).

You both are fun, friendly professionals and it is obvious your heart is in your business.

You have embraced the ultimate advise "Find something you love and call it work".

I want to start by saying thanks Steve and Gabrielle, for my most memorable dive trip to date.

When I arrived at the dock I found out the rest of the charter had cancelled the night before, (not good). Steve recomended another dive boat and walked me to it, that was the end I thought. But thats not how Steve runs his operation, he came with me on the boat and gave me personal guided tours on 4 dives that day, including the Spiegel Grove (a definate must see) and Benwood. When we returned to the Benwood for the first afternoon dive, instead of making a repeat dive he decided we would surface swim away and dive a ledge near by (great idea).

The final dive of the day Minnow Cave, and I saw how it got its name there must have been millions of them. Steve took my camera and got a great shot of me surrounded by all the minnows. (hope you got the pic guys). 2 more dives the next day and a night dive to finish the trip. A face to face encounter with my first shark and pet a loggerhead as big as the hood of your car. (thanks Jim and Mary for finding it) Small goups are the only way to go,you will get to see a lot more, and get there a lot faster too. It just doesnt get any better than this.

Dual Porpoise is the only dive boat in Key Largo.Can't wait to get back for a "dive only trip "ha ha........"

Snapper Ledge was a great dive too. It was really different than all the reef dives.  The stingrays were a real treat.

First off, we booked what we anticipated, a relatively affordable 4 day long weekend with, someone else.  It included motel, breakfast and two dives, on two days. Very attractive price.  Motel was fine, breakfast was fine, diving was, ho-hum.  A cattle boat, maximum depth was 30' if you stuck your computer into the sand. Nothing wrong, just diving with 21 others, not my cup of tea.  Then, we spotted Dual Porpoise two births up.  Our cattle boat was booked for the afternoon dives.  We signed on.  First off, Captain and crew were FIRST,  divers.  Second, ran their business because they love diving, not to make money. Third, we had a ball.  When they  say six divers max, that's it. 

ALSO,  they figure out - what you can do, where to go, and get there fast. Ok, first day was great.  Needless to say, we signed on for a second afternoon. They knew us, we knew them.  No if's, no but's, Spiegel Grove. If you want the most PERSONAL TOUR, two people who SUNK it, stop looking, these are the people, this is the outfit you want to deal with.  Not only were we briefed, cautioned, explained, but were personally GUIDED on an adventure ( 300 + dives here) of a life time.  Don't compare costs, compare what you get.  With Dual Porpoise you get to do dives of a life time, and you get friends to boot.  I could not recommend Dual Porpoise more highly.  Thanks guys for turning just a dive trip into a total adventure.

Steve & Gabriele Where do I begin. What a week!! Thank you so much for the life changing event, diving the Spiegel Grove and making me feel so very comfortable the entire time. I have dove in St. "Elmar" Thomas 4 times, Rose Hall (Jamaica) 2 times and yet have I experienced the hospitality nor the enjoyment associated with our 6 dives with you. Our dives were so personable and executed with outstating professionalism yet laid back with several funnies, "the pretzel". I will be back as soon as possible and bringing a friend. Booking with any ohter service besides yourselves would be literally crazy and no FUN!!! Small Groups are good!!

The night dive at Snapper Ledge was fantastic! Gabrielle helped point out
interesting features and creatures. Snapper Ledge was a great sight for a night dive because it had a relatively simple layout and there was a lot of marine life. The area also seemed a little more unspoiled and less used than many other sites. My friend Steven Konish says thanks again for the help getting him snorkelling! He had a great time. Thanks for putting up with us on the boat ride out and at the dock where we seemed to be perpetually late. We'll be coming down in February 2004 and we hope to dive with you again.

I'm a professional diving instructor in Miami, and I always use Dual
Porpoise while diving in Key Largo. After using other services, Steve and
Gabriele are the best that I have found there for professional service,
knowledge of equipment, knowledge of the dive sites, and all around fun.
Moreover, being on a small boat, my group is often the only ones on board and even when others are present, it doesn't have the "cattle boat" feel. That also allows us to go to any dive site, as opposed to whatever is on the schedule.

I highly recommend Dual Porpoise, and given a choice, I wouldn't
go with any others!

Steve and Gabriella,
Here's the cookie recipe that you sampled on the boat. I often make
them using a Chocolate Cake Mix. Mother used a lemon one this time.
Here is what she sent me:

Andy's Chocolate Cookies. I used Lemon Cake Mix.

1 box lemon cake mix

1 egg

1/4 c soft shortening

1 T water

Mix all ingredients together (with hands at last) and chill dough. Roll
into balls and place on ungreased sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350. cool &
put together with icing. Do not over bake. I put Almond Toffee Bits in
1/2 of cookies & placed them on bottom when icing.

Again, we had a great time diving with you (especially when you calmed
the waves for me). Hope things are going well for you now and continue
to have a good flow of customers diving.
